The body is incomplete and constantly puts me to the test, to struggle, defeat, and victory. The photo installation „Incompleteness of Material” is meant to refer to my own experience of illness, which is in constant conflict with me. The deformation and mutilation present in the fragments of body photos may evoke associations with violence, trauma, but also with struggle, survival, and regeneration. Illness and suffering can be a subject that moves the viewer and awakens their empathy. On the other hand, I want to show emotions such as sadness, depression, but also strength and determination in the fight against life’s adversities..

Materia ciała jest niezupełna i ciągle wystawia mnie na próbę, walkę, przegraną i wygraną. Fotoinstalacja „Niezupełność materii’ ma nawiązywać do własnego przeżywania choroby, która jest w ciągłym sporze ze mną. Deformacja i okaleczenie, które są obecne w kawałkach zdjęć ciała, mogą kojarzyć się z przemocą, traumą, ale również z walką, przetrwaniem i regeneracją. Choroba i cierpienie mogą być tematem, który porusza widza i pobudza jego empatię. Z drugiej strony chciałabym pokazać, emocje, takie jak smutek, depresja, ale także siła i determinacja w walce z przeciwnościami życiowymi.

The use of torn pieces of a body photograph to give the work a multidimensional and universal context can provoke various interpretations, opening the door to a rich spectrum of emotions and meanings that may be associated with the photo installation. The universality of the prepared photo installation lies in the fact that I do not limit it to one specific meaning but open it up to different possibilities of interpretation. Each viewer can see and feel something different, depending on their own experience, emotions, and life context. It is this openness to interpretation that allows the work to touch different people in different ways.

Wykorzystanie kawałków potarganego zdjęcia ciała w celu nadania pracy wielowymiarowego i uniwersalnego kontekstu może prowokować różne interpretacje, otwiera drzwi do bogatego spektrum emocji i znaczeń, które mogą być związane z fotoinstalacją. Uniwersalność przygotowanej fotoinstalacji polega na tym, że nie ograniczam się z niej jej do jednego konkretnego znaczenia, ale otwieram na różne możliwości interpretacji. Każdy widz może zobaczyć i odczuć coś innego, w zależności od swojego własnego doświadczenia, emocji i kontekstu życiowego. To właśnie ta otwartość interpretacyjna sprawia, że praca dotyka różne osoby na różne sposoby.
